Mr Tickle in Scotland

For some reason, I was thinking about the Roger Hargreaves kids’ book character, Mr Tickle, who is bright orange with tiny little hands that he can’t keep to himself, coming to Scotland.

A typically Scottish scene of heather and mountains, under a stormy sky. A cartoon orange blob with extremely long arms (and weird yellow hair) runs through the heather. In the foreground, a woman holds her nose in disgust, while another turns away with her hands over her mouth as if to vomit. Between the women sit two adolescent girls, embracing each other with fearful expressions.

Buy "Calling For The Moon", my debut album of songs I wrote while living in Thailand, India, Turkey. (Only £2, on Bandcamp.)

Just absolutely the best tickles, so beautiful, tickles like you wouldn’t even believe. Grown men go up to him, tears in their eyes, saying “Your tickles cured my disease and fed my family, thank you sir, we love you so much.” Many people are saying this, it’s true, the Nobel Committee needs to take note or else who knows, maybe they’ll get deported. It’s just a thing that could happen, is what I’m saying.
